PET/CT Technologist

We are currently looking for a Full-Time, experienced PET/CT Technologist for a busy Imaging Center. Applicant must have AART certificate or NMTCB, CA state certification from the Department of Public Health, CPR and venipuncture. Minimum of 3+ years of experience.

Job description and duties:

  • Competent in performing PET/CT scans, including bone and brain.
  • Trained in quality control for PET/CT imaging systems and radiation devices on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as needed.
  • Perform high-quality PET/CT exams on incoming patients.
  • Assure proper doses are ordered for each day.
  • Monitor patients’ well being during exam; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking to them through the steps and answering questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and processes.
  • Respond to Physician questions regarding patients.
  • Participate in projects and or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
  • We are looking for experienced and professional candidates who are able to perform independently.

Other duties include but not limited to checking in/out radiation packages, taking accurate patient histories, starting IV’s, proper handling/injection of isotopes, and writing protocols when needed. Filling in for diagnostic CT section. Maintain records, radiation waste logs, radiation badges, radiation safety training, imaging the phantom (quarterly) after GE performs PM, and 12 hour normalization. Responsible for scheduling physicist for quarterly check on equipment, records and linearity, assist physicist with annual ACR, and GE engineer for quarterly maintenance. Work closely with RSO to keep appropriate records reviewed and signed.

Full Time and Part Time Mammography Technologist

State of the Art Santa Monica Imaging Center is looking for a full time and part-time Mammography Technologist. This opportunity is and is located at our multi-modality outpatient practice in Santa Monica, CA. Our center provides a variety of diagnostic imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment.

Job description and duties:

  • Perform high-quality mammography.
  • Monitor patient’s wellbeing during exam; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly taking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Performs QC tracking. Participates in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management including occasional x-ray/dexa coverage.
  • AutomatedBreastUltrasound – ABUS (We Train)
  • Weekend availability

We’re looking for experienced and professional candidates who are able to independently perform all outpatient radiologic and mammography exams and procedures with high-quality results. Mammography Technologist jobs must also processes ARRT(R)certification, CA State Licenses in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Mammography, CPR Certification and great communication skills. AART(M)certification and at least 2+ years of recent mammography work experience.
